POLICE FORCES ACROSS BRITAIN ARE COVERING UP THEIR USE OF SOPHISTICATED MASS SURVEILLANCE DEVICES AND NEED TO BE MORE OPEN AND HONEST!!

Why police forces need to be honest regarding mass mobile phone surveillance

Police forces across the UK are covering up their use of sophisticated mass surveillance devices, known as IMSI-catchers. The tools on offer vary – from in-the-field technology that can hack mobile phones, to facial recognition and predictive policing capabilities. This technological revolution is granting police unprecedented access to people’s lives. Investigations by The Bristol Cable have revealed that at least nine police forces in the UK have secretly purchased mobile phone surveillance devices, known as IMSI-catchers. These indiscriminate surveillance tools allow police to track mobile phone locations and identities in real time, to intercept text messages and calls across a large radius. According to some manufacturers’ catalogues, IMSI-catchers can hack up to 1,500 handsets per minute across five networks within 8km2 of their deployment.
At least 197 parliamentary constituencies are policed by the nine constabularies known to possess IMSI-catchers. This information only came to light after police procurement data and documents were analysed by The Bristol Cable. The investigation showed that constabularies had spent hundreds of thousands of pounds (over £1m by the Metropolitan Police alone) on IMSI-catchers, and that they were using an acronym – CCDC (covert communications data capture) – to disguise their purchases. To date, the Home Office and individual police forces have pursued a policy of neither confirming nor denying the possession or use of IMSI-catchers. Public authorities and ministers have consistently refused to declare whether police or other agencies possess or operate the technology, despite mounting evidence that its use is becoming widespread.
Police stonewall on mobile phone surveillance
Constabularies have denied freedom of information (FoI) requests, but they have gone further to stifle public debate. Police and crime commissioners have a legal duty to publish spending reports monthly for their respective forces, but in the months following the initial investigation, 30 police forces temporarily stopped publishing monthly spending data giving details of the contracts they award, and have since revised what information is published. In the case of Avon and Somerset Constabulary, the police and crime commissioner openly stated that the spending data had been taken down from its website and redacted in the interests of “national security” in response to the investigation. This stonewalling suggests that neither journalistic inquiry nor freedom of information requests by concerned citizens will, on their own, open the door to transparency. Consequently, The Bristol Cable took the decision to turn its investigation into a national campaign to press for change.
The campaign seeks clarity to some fundamental questions:
· In what circumstances are IMSI-catchers used?
· Which authorities operate them?
· How are innocent people safeguarded from this intrusive surveillance technology?
A 2016 investigation by technologist Richard Tynan found evidence of the use of IMSI-catchers in London, including at a large, public, anti-austerity demonstration and outside the Houses of Parliament. The charity Liberty has expressed concern that IMSI-catchers could be being used to target protestors, particular communities and places of worship.
Government silent on mobile phone monitoring
The indiscriminate, dragnet nature of IMSI-catcher technology, which intercepts the data of all mobile phones within an area of several kilometres, is unlikely to be proportionate or justifiable in law. It is therefore concerning that Parliament has not been consulted on the use of IMSI-catchers and that relevant statistical data or governing policies have not been published.
parliamentary briefing by The Bristol Cable – with guest contributions from Angela Patrick, barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, and Silkie Carlo, then advocacy officer at Liberty (now at Big Brother Watch) – lays out the uncertain legal basis for the use of IMSI-catchers and the need for urgent transparency. Thangam Debonnaire, MP for Bristol West, has submitted written questions to the Home Office seeking clarity on which forces own and operate IMSI-catchers and what guidance governs their use. The response was vague and shed nothing new. Nick Hurd MP referenced the Police Act 1997 and the Intelligence Services Act 1994 as the relevant governing legislation, and the investigatory powers commissioner as tasked with oversight. However, Hurd failed to confirm the technology’s mere existence, or to specify which forces owned or operated it.
With crime growing increasingly sophisticated, police are turning to innovative technology. But can the police and security services legitimately stay silent about their capabilities by claiming transparency will harm operations? Internationally, IMSI-catchers have already been dubbed “law enforcement’s worst-kept secret”. In recent years, there have been a string of damning revelations about illegal or controversial police surveillance powers, with police spying infringing the civil liberties of journalists, parliamentarians and campaigners.
Definition of serious crime is too broad
These cases have also raised concerns over how IMSI-catchers could be misused. And yet, the issue here is less of police misconduct. Rather, the primary issue is one of a turbulent political climate changing the legislative definitions of extremism and serious crimes, which surveillance capabilities only enhance. Take the Investigatory Powers Act (IPA), also known as the snoopers’ charter. It limits surveillance by police and government agencies to “serious” crimes. However, Angela Patrick writes in the parliamentary briefing that these crimes are “broadly defined to include offences carrying a sentence of over three years’ imprisonment, or any violent crime or crimes done for unspecified ‘substantial’ financial gain or where conduct is by a large number of persons in pursuit of a common purpose”.
Patrick highlights that group conduct is covered, meaning that police and agencies might seek to rely on these powers for the investigation of public order offences arising from protest activities. Meanwhile, any investigation of violent crime or financial crime for “substantial gain” will also open the door to the IPA. This threshold is less stringent than it might first appear, placing only limited restraint on state surveillance.” With the goalposts of justice in flux, one cannot be confident that institutionalised checks and balances will protect civil liberties. As Cardinal Richelieu, the 16th century French clergyman, incisively wrote: “If one would give me six lines written by the hand of the most honest man, I would find something in them to have him hanged.”

The Importance Of Knowing Why God Raptured Out Enoch Before The Flood Of Noah Destroyed The Whole World

by Geoffrey Grider

So we see the gentile Enoch, preaching up a storm and warning the lost of coming judgement, have an amazing encounter with the God he was telling everyone about. The Bible tells us that, one day while witnessing, God simple caught him up off the face of the earth and translated him to the throne room of Heaven. What did Enoch miss when that happened?

"But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:37-39 (KJV)
God is His amazing word, places types in the Bible from cover to cover to illustrate some deeper meaning or to shed light on prophecy. For example, David was an actual king who ruled over Israel from Jerusalem, and he is also a type of Jesus Christ who will rule from Jerusalem at the Second Coming. Ruth was an actual woman, but she is also a type of the gospel going to the gentiles at a time yet future of the writing of the book of Ruth. Joseph was one of the 12 sons of Jacob, and he is also a type of Jesus Christ in over 150 different respects. So we see that God places types in the Bible to show us things that He wishes us to pay attention to.
In Matthew 24 and Luke 21, we have Jesus prophesying to his disciples of what would be coming far into the future, a period of time the Bible calls the time of Jacob's trouble. Jesus says that this time will be unique in human history as it will be the time of the greatest and most intense tribulation that will ever befall this sin-cursed old world. The greatest period of tribulation ever seen in the Old Testament was, you guessed it, the Flood of Noah.

So let's look at some quick bullet points to connect Matthew 24, Luke 17, Luke 21, Jude, the time of Jacob's trouble, and of course, good old Enoch:

  • IT WILL BE A GLOBAL JUDGEMENT: The Flood of Noah was not isolated to any particular region, it was global and affected the entire world. So too the time of Jacob's trouble, while its primary focus will be the judgment of the Jews and Israel, will affect every human being who will be alive at the time it starts after the Rapture of the Church. "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." Matthew 24:21 (KJV)
  • THE DAYS OF NOAH: Jesus is Matthew 24 draws a parallel to the 'times of Noah' (spelled as 'noe' because the New Testament is written in Greek) because the time of Jacob's trouble is both global, and has a particular enemy in mind, namely Antichrist. The Flood of Noah was sent as a judgment of the wickedness of hybrid humans created when fallen angels mated with human women, with the Nephilim being the particular enemy. A lot of people, Christians, balk at the idea of fallen angels having sex with earthly women that created hybrid monsters, but guess what? It's in there. "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."Jude 1:6 (KJV)
  • THE DAYS OF LOT: Jesus compares it to Noah to show that it's global, and that a particular enemy is in mind, and then He compares it to Lot for a variety of reason. First, the fiery judgment that falls on Sodom and Gomorrah is an ensample of the the fiery judgments that blanket the earth in the last half of the time of Jacob's trouble. Second, Lot himself, fleeing to the mountains for safety, is a picture of the Jews that Jesus tells to also flee to the mountains in Matthew 24. Lastly, Lot who cozies up with the lost sinners of Sodom is a picture of the Jews in the time of Jacob's trouble who cozy up to Antichrist. "Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed."Luke 17:28-30 (KJV)

Now that we have established a prophecy 'baseline', let's take a look at the main character of this article, Enoch.

Whenever you hear me talking about the Rapture, I am always very careful to qualify it as the pretribulation rapture of the church. Why do I do this? Because as spectacular as the pretribulation rapture of the church is going to be, it is not the only rapture in the Bible.
c. 1600, "act of carrying off," from Middle French rapture, from Medieval Latin raptura "seizure, rape, kidnapping," from Latin raptus "a carrying off, abduction, snatching away; rape" (see rapt). Earliest attested use in English is of women and in 17c. it sometimes meant rape (v.), which word is a cognate of this. Sense of "spiritual ecstasy, state of mental transport" first recorded c. 1600 (raptures).
Jesus shows us a rapture of the tribulation saints in Matthew 24, there is the rapture of the Two Witnesses, Elijah is caught up and away, Paul was caught up the Third Heaven, John was caught up to Heaven in a type of the rapture of the church, and the list goes on. And when we look just one page before the Flood of Noah in Genesis 6, what do we see there? We see good old Enoch who gets raptured away to be with God in Heaven without ever dying. Want to take a wild, end times guess what that is a 'type" of? Let's go the bullet points and take a look.
  • ENOCH WAS A GENTILE: There are many reasons why God uses Enoch as a type to reveal to us light on end times prophecy. First, Enoch was not a Jew he was a gentile. So Enoch is a type of the gentile believer in the Church Age. Yes, the Church is made up of 'Jews and gentiles' but the vast majority of born again believers in the Church Age are in fact gentiles. "And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious." Isaiah 11:11 (KJV)
  • ENOCH WAS A PREACHER: The gentile enoch had a testimony before the LORD, and like Christians are commanded to do, he preached the word. SO Enoch is a great type of the obedient Christian in the days right up before the time of Jacob's trouble because Enoch preached right up before the Flood of Noah. Everytime you go preaching and handing out tracts on the street, you are as gentile believers actually following the example of Enoch. I always say that NTEB is an end times witness for Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world in the last days before the Rapture of the Church. See the similarities? "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." Jude 1:14,15 (KJV)
  • ENOCH NEVER SAW DEATH BECAUSE GOD TOOK HIM: So we see the gentile Enoch, preaching up a storm and warning the lost of coming judgement, have an amazing encounter with the God he was telling everyone about. The Bible tells us that, one day while witnessing, God simple caught him up off the face of the earth and translated him to the throne room of Heaven. What did Enoch miss when that happened? Why Enoch just happened to miss...wait for it...every single second of the global tribulation of the Flood of Noah! At this point, those of you who still struggle with the idea of a pretribulation rapture, now have all the evidence you need to knowthat the Church doesn't spend one, single second in the time of Jacob's trouble. Why? Because like Enoch, the Church of born again believers will be caught up and out of here before the great tribulation begins. Just like Enoch was. "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 (KJV)
  • BONUS POINT: Right now the world uses a gentile calendar that has 365 days of the year in it. In the time of Jacob's trouble, the 360 day year used in the Hebrew calendar will be used once again to gauge the unfolding of prophecy by. So...how long did the gentile Enoch live for before God took him? You guessed it. "And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." Genesis 5:23,24 (KJV)
Now you know why it makes me laugh when the mockers comment to say that the pretribulation rapture wasn't taught before John Darby made it up in the early 1800's. Who needs John Darby or anyone else when God has already frontloaded His word with a dozen different 'proofs' for the pretrib rapture of the Church, the one we're discussing today being the gentile Enoch as a type of the Church Age believer who witnesses to a lost and dying world right before the flood.
You can hang your eternal destiny securely on the fact that the Church will not live under Antichrist or even spend one, single minute in the time of Jacob's trouble. Just like Enoch, we who are "alive and remain" will be caught up and out in the greatest troop movement in human history.
Count on it.
"My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away."Song Of Solomon 2:10 (KJV)

Israel-Iran Escalation - Looking At The Big Picture

The escalation is the latest in an epic struggle building between Iran, which is trying to turn Syria into a forward Iranian military base, and Israel, which is determined to prevent this from happening at all costs.

Iran Unveils Series Of Nuclear-Capable Ballistic Missiles And Threatens To Strike Israel Over Syria Attack

by Geoffrey Grider

Iran unveiled a series of new homemade nuclear-capable ballistic missiles during military parades held over the weekend, a move that experts view as a bid to bolster the hardline ruling regime as dissidents continue efforts to stir protest.

On the heels of an encounter between an Iranian drone and Israeli forces, Iranian leaders showcased their ballistic missile capabilities, which includes a nuclear-capable medium-range missile that appears to share similarities with North Korean technology, according to experts.
The nuclear-capable missile can strike Israel even when fired from Iranian territory, raising concerns about an impending conflict between Tehran and the Jewish state that could further inflame the region.
Iranian military leaders bragged the ballistic missile "can be launched from mobile platforms or silos in different positions and can escape missile defense shields due to their radar-evading capability," according to reports in Iran's state-controlled media.
The latest technology could further inflame tensions between Israel and Iran, which funds and controls terror organizations operating along Israel's border. Concerns that this nuclear-capable technology could be shared by Iran with its terrorist proxies are fueling longstanding concerns among the Israelis that an attack is imminent.
As Iranian dissidents continue to protest over the country's ailing economy, the ruling regime continues to invest millions of dollars it received as part of the landmark nuclear deal with the United States on its military technology, specifically ballistic missiles, which are subject to a ban under international statutes.
However, Iran has not only continued this work but also invested heavily in it since receiving the cash windfalls from the nuclear deal. Conservative estimates from open sources indicate the Iranian regime has spent at least $16 billion in recent years on its military buildup and rogue operations in Syria, as well as other countries.
"Thirty-nine years in, the Islamic Revolution has little to show for its decades in power other than growing the country's asymmetric military capabilities in order to continue their export of the revolution," Behnam Ben Taleblu, an Iran expert with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told the Washington Free Beacon. "The Islamic Republic has considerably grown the country's missile and rocket arsenal, both through production and procurement."
The two missiles featured over the weekend by Iran include the Ghadr, a medium-range ballistic missile that was modified and upgraded by the Islamic Republic
"The Ghadr can strike Israel when fired from Iranian territory, and in March 2016, was flight-tested while bearing genocidal slogans against the state of Israel," according to Ben Taleblu, who has researched Iranian missile procurement.

Iranian military leaders also rolled out a rocket called the Fajr-5, which is becoming a new favorite of Iranian-backed terror proxy groups operating against Israel.

"The Fajr-5 is an Iranian rocket that has been proliferated to anti-Israel groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. It can travel up to 75 km, and is therefore a long-range artillery rocket. It uses solid fuel for propulsion," Ben Taleblu explained. "Both the Qadr missile and Fajr rocket represents Iran's commitment to developing stand-off weaponry that it uses for purposes of deterrence and coercion."
The new weaponry could fuel ongoing efforts by Congress to crackdown on Iran's continued proliferation of ballistic missile technology, a large part of which has been incubated by the North Korean regime, which continues to have a technology-sharing agreement with Tehran.
Iran already has the region's largest arsenal of ballistic missiles and is seeking to continue building this technology.
The Trump administration has said that any effort to fix the nuclear deal with Iran must focus on constricting the regime's access to ballistic missile technology. source

Israel Prepares For War On Its Northern Front As Netanyahu Warns Iran Over Buildup In Syria

by Geoffrey Grider

Israel has boosted its air defense in the North following a significant confrontation between the Jewish state, Syria and Iran that led to the loss of an F-16i fighter jet.

"For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place."Jeremiah 29:10 (KJV)
EDITOR'S NOTE: For years, Iran has waged a proxy war with Israel by supplying its enemies like Hamas and Hezbollah with rockets and weapons to attack them. But this weekend all that changed as Israel delivered a heavy blow to Iranian forces in Syria. Word coming out of Jerusalem this morning says Israel now preparing for open war with Iran. And when you consider that the 70th anniversary of the regathering of Israel is just a few months away, the prophetic potential begins to leap off the charts.
Israel issued stark warnings on Sunday over Iran's presence in neighbouring Syria after a confrontation threatened to open a new and unpredictable period in the country's seven-year civil war. Israel carried out major air raids in Syria on Saturday, including against what it described as Iranian targets -- the first time it had publicly acknowledged doing so since the war began.
The raids came after an Israeli F16 fighter was shot down by Syrian air defences. The pilots survived, but it was Israel's first loss of a warplane in battle since 1982.
"We inflicted on Saturday a heavy blow to Iranian and Syrian forces," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the start of Sunday's cabinet meeting. "We made clear to everyone that our rules of engagement will not change in any way. We will continue to harm anyone who tries to harm us. This was our policy and this will remain our policy."
While the army refused to comment on the reports, witnesses reported seeing a convoy of missile-defense batteries heading north near the Israeli-Arab city of Baka al-Gharbiya. Other witnesses posted photos of several trucks carrying the batteries on central highways in northern Israel.
Israel’s air defenses currently include the Iron Dome, designed to shoot down short-range rockets; the Arrow system, which intercepts ballistic missiles outside of the Earth’s atmosphere; and the David’s Sling missile-defense system, which is designed to intercept tactical ballistic missiles, medium- to long-range rockets and cruise missiles fired from ranges of between 40 km to 300 km.

Israel also has Patriot-missile batteries stationed in the North and has used them to intercept drones infiltrating into Israeli airspace from Syria. In September, an Iranian-built unmanned aerial vehicle breached the “Bravo line” that marks the Syrian demilitarized zone, and was intercepted by an Israeli Patriot anti-ballistic missile launched from a station near the northern city of Safed.
The first use of the Arrow system was in April when it was launched to intercept three surface-to-air missiles fired toward IAF jets by Syrian-regime air defense.
On Saturday, an Iranian drone, which took off from Syria’s T4 airbase in northern Homs province, flew through Jordanian territory before it infiltrated into Israel. It flew for about a minute and a half in the northern Jordan Valley before it was shot down by a helicopter flown by Lt.-Col. “L.”, commander of the 113 Squadron. Israel has boosted its air defense in the North following a significant confrontation between the Jewish state, Syria and Iran that led to the loss of an F-16i fighter jet.
