Hi folks,
An update from Brian, now at home:
Something we will learn when we meet Jesus that He has His purpose for everything that happens to us. We don’t know why, with all that has been happening to both Brian and Keith’s Dad (and Brian has been praying for Stan along with so many of you – thank you) – and we don’t see the reason for it all at the moment. But we will.
Brian believes there is also a purpose in himself not being taken home to glory, although he was very close on a couple of occasions over the last three months!
His experience in hospital saw a very good side and also a not such a good side of the NHS. Mistakes were made that were very painful and were not corrected quickly enough. However, our prayers have borne fruit and he came home last Tuesday, as expected.
His speech continues to improve and he sees speech therapists at home up to three times a week. He is preparing a message for Cromer to ‘preach’ to the therapist next week, as part of the therapy, having laid out a plan for other messages at Cromer. Please pray for wisdom in this, and that we will see wonderful things there in May.
On the physio side he has been left some exercises to do, so we do pray for the opportunity for Brian to continue in these walking exercises. Please pray that a specific pain in his foot is resolved quickly, as this is really hampering things.
Brian will have already spoken to some of you by phone and may start e-mailing again shortly.
Your prayers, love and support have been so very much appreciated.
Much love from Brian and Gilly
