Hi everyone,
Brian remains in hospirtal and has been seen by physios to help him stand and turn on special new turntable/perching stool/bed transfer equipment in order to help him access toilet facilities - so that he could have been be discharged in a day or two.
However, we are sorry to say that, following a swab test on the wound on his foot, it came back positive for VRE (Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus).
This bug is very resistant to antibiotics, meaning that he has had to go into isolation for up to two weeks.
Please pray for a speedy and successful recovery. Thank you.
The good news is that they are delivering this new equipment and also a hospital bed to their home, ready for his discharge.
