UK: ‘Shocking’ record number of antisemitic incidents reported in 2021
Antisemitism in the UK reached record levels in 2021, according to the annual report by Community Security Trust (CST), prompting Home Secretary Priti Patel to vow that perpetrators of this “shocking” anti-Jewish race hate would feel the “full force of the law”.

The CST’s Antisemitic Incidents Report 2021 showed the charity had recorded 2,255 anti-Jewish hate incidents nationwide during the past year, the highest annual total the security group has ever recorded. It is a  a 34% increase from the 1,684 antisemitic incidents recorded in 2020.

Hamas slogans chanted at Cambridge Uni protest during visit of Israeli ambassador

Masked demonstrators at Cambridge University burned flares and screamed Hamas slogans during the Israeli ambassador’s visit on Tuesday.

Last month, Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi told the JC that universities must alert police if they hear the chant. But in Cambridge, officers looked on.

London bus stops targeted with pro-Amnesty ‘Israel-apartheid’ posters

The posters, which cited Amnesty International’s shameful report released last week, have been removed and advertising company, JCDecauxUK, confirm that the posters were not authorised.

Mystery surrounds who placed the posters, which required inserting the poster behind a glass pane by using a key. Also, London bus stops have been targeted with anti-Israel posters several times in the past.

91-year-old Holocaust survivor succumbs to wounds from Hamas rocket

Naomi Perlman, a 91-year-old Holocaust survivor who was seriously wounded at her Ashkelon home by shrapnel in a Hamas rocket attack during Operation Guardian of the Walls in May, died on Sunday, KAN News reported.

Perlman’s Indian caregiver, Santosh Sumaya, was killed in the attack, and Perlman was evacuated to Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, where she remained until her death.

The Ashkelon Municipality said Perlman and her late husband, Ya’acov, had “contributed significantly to the construction” of the city. They immigrated from Poland in 1950, having survived the Holocaust.
