Being a witness for Jesus Christ down here will cost you something, and it's supposed to. Paul has plenty to say about this subject, but more importantly than telling us, Paul also models it for us while he says 'be ye followers of me'.
As born again Christians living in the Church Age, we are called to 'fight the good fight' against the world, the flesh and the Devil down here, as Paul shows us that will directly impact whether or not we get to 'rule and reign' with Jesus Christ in the Millennium. Why? Because it looks like that fight the good fight is directly related out our inheritance, not to our salvation. Am I saying that they may be some saved, born again Christians who are denied ruling and reigning with King Jesus during that time? Yep.
"It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself." 2 Timothy 2:11-13 (KJB)
