Why do some Christians lose their faith while others have their faith strengthened while going through equally hard circumstances? The Bible has the answer.Lately, I have seen some podcasts on YouTube showing people who have gone through some really bad things in their church, and because of the events which took place, they not only left the church, which is understandable to me, they have also renounced their faith in God and the Bible. That is not understandable to me, and that's what I would like to talk about on this Sunday Service. "Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:" 2 Peter 1:1 (KJB) Your King James Bible pulls no punches, it tells you the truth about the world, the flesh and the Devil, and shows you the truth about the Church. In fact, Paul warns us that after he goes, ravening wolves will come in, devouring and not sparing the flock. Corrie Ten Boom and her family risked their lives to help the Jews during WWII, and they paid the ultimate price after getting caught. Nearly Corrie's whole family died in the horrific conditions in the concentration camps, Connie made it out alive but just barely. If ever anyone had a reason to get bitter and lose their faith, Corrie had it. But when she got out, what did she do? She spent the rest of her life testifying of the goodness and mercy of Almighty God. Is that what you would have done? Today I would like to talk to you about why Corrie didn't lose her faith, and how it just may help you to regain yours.
