As you read this, and over the past 48 hours, the nation of Israel has been under rocket fire from Hamas in the Gaza Strip, add to that riots by hundreds of Palestinians on the Temple Mount, and you now find yourself smack dab within the pages of scripture. As the prophets have declared, Israel is the focus of the whole world.
"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." Zechariah 12:2,3 (KJB)
The vast majority of preachers, pastors, bible teachers and commentators in our day do not see a future restoration of the Jews and the nation of Israel, in spite of the fact that this is declared by the Old Testament prophets and the New Testament apostles, chiefly the apostle Paul. When Clarence Larkin wrote the greatest bible commentary of all time back in 1918, a book called 'Dispensational Truth', he was one of the very few bible teachers of his day who knew that Israel would soon be regathered and wrote about it. Larkin died in 1924, just 14 years before Israel would be stunningly regathered back in the very place they had been dispersed from in 70 AD. How did Larkin get it right and the majority of his peers miss it by a mile? Because he believed the words of God, preserved within the pages of the King James Bible.
