In our day, the 'name it and claim it' false gospel of the Charismatic and Evangelical movements, something that has much in common with the New Age practice of manifestation, is quite popular in our Laodicean Church age. But this type of bogus prosperity thinking has nothing in common with the biblical doctrine of triumphing in Jesus Christ.
"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?" 2 Corinthians 14-16 (KJB)
God has a sense of humor, no doubt about that, but it is not usually the type that will make you laugh. For the Christian, we are called to give God the glory by our willingness to lay our lives down for the cause of Christ, something antithetical to just about everything that is preached from the pulpits around the world in 2021. When John the Baptist was executed, he triumphed in Christ. When Peter hung on his own cross, he triumphed in Christ. When Paul was beaten, imprisoned and stoned he triumphed in Christ. What are you going through today, and are you able to triumph in Christ? Paul says God always causes us to triumph in His Son Jesus Christ.
