Bible prophecy is not hard to understand, the hard part is believing what you read. It's the wildest book in human history, and tonight we visit the 7 Churches of Revelation.
The first three chapters of the book of Revelation is dripping with imagery and symbolism, but let me tell you something, those symbols and images represent literal events that will come to pass during the time of Jacob's trouble after the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church takes place. Don't make the mistake of thinking something symbolic cannot also be literal and actual. Mysteries like the 7 angels and the 7 stars become clear when we allow our King James Bible to interpret itself to bring us to the proper conclusion.
"Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches." Revelation 1:19,20 (KJB)
On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we are traveling through time nearly 2,000 years into the past, coming back, and then just a short hop forward on the calendar to where we are right now here in March of 2021. The reason for the dual time trip is because we are told to observe the things that have been, the things that are right now, and the things that 'will be' after we go. In order to rightly divide what we read, we need to view these events from the same perspective the apostle John did, from Heaven. The 7 Churches of Revelation are not such a mystery when we look where John looked, and stand where John stood, in the throne room of Heaven.
