NTEB RADIO BIBLE STUDY: Understanding ‘Lordship Salvation’ In Light Of Paul’s Command To Rightly Divide The Scriptures Clears Up The Confusion

by Geoffrey Grider

In every age, we see God with one salvation plan, applied in different ways. Where does Lordship Salvation fit in all of this? Tonight we will use a King James Bible to clear up the confusion surrounding this ongoing controversy.

In 1988, John MacArthur wrote a book called 'The Gospel According To Jesus', it was meant to be an answer to the 'easy believism' that was rampant in the 1970's and 80's. But what it wound up doing was replacing one false doctrine with another. The controversy surrounding Lordship Salvation is easily remedied, however, when we are faithful to our apostle Paul's command to rightly divide the scriptures. You'll remember John MacArthur, he's the same guy who says people in the Tribulation can take the Mark of the Beast and still go to Heaven. Oh, really?🤔

"Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:14,15 (KJB)

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we take a deep dive into the biblical doctrine of salvation, and how God applies it differently in different dispensations. For example, Adam and Eve found salvation in 'coats of skin', Noah found it in the building of the Ark, Moses found it through the Law and 2 stone tablets, Abraham found it in his willingness to sacrifice his only son, and on it goes throughout the ages. But in every age, we see God with one salvation plan, applied in different ways. Where does Lordship Salvation fit in all of this? Tonight we will use a King James Bible to clear up the confusion surrounding this ongoing controversy.
