Everything is Matthew 25 is aimed dead on at Jews and Gentiles who are just now coming out of the very end of the time of Jacob's trouble after the Battle of Armageddon.
Despite the effusive teachings of Liberal scholarship, there are no Christians in present in Matthew 25, but what we do see is quite spectacular. Everything about the parable of the Ten Virgins points to a future time where God will again be dealing with His people, the Jews. They are waiting for a King who will bring in a Kingdom.
"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left." Matthew 25:31-33 (KJB)
